Malaga Bus station is situated near the main train station in Malaga (see maps below). It is the main bus depot on the Costa del Sol. From here you can get to most places. click here for all the bus routes on the Costa del Sol.

Popular bus routes from Malaga

To Fuengirola

this is another destination that is probably quicker and easier by train . But again it is cheaper by bus. The best stop for the attractions in Fuengirola is Fuengirola terminal. To Benalmadena

This is another destination on the train line but the train station is about 1 kilometre to the port so if you are planning a day at the port and promenade bus would be cheaper and easier. To  Mijas

This is a beautiful example of a typical white washed village and its very easy to get to by bus from Malaga. The best stop is the  Mijas Pueblo stop, the last stop. This is also where you get on to get back to Malaga. La Cala de Mijas

La cala de Mijas is a beautiful resort for a holiday or a day trip. The best way to La Cala de Mijas from Malaga is by bus or train to Fuengirola. The best bus stop is get off is under the A7 bridge called La Cala de Mijas and The best stop to get back is also called La Cala de Mijas but its a in the village. Marbella

Marbella is the jewel in the crown of the Costa del Sol and a day trip here is a must. The best way to get from Malaga to Marbella is to change at Fuengirola. It  is easy just one problem and that is the bus route of the bus operator’s website. It stops at Calahonda for some reason. Not to worry the bus does go to Marbella and the best place to get off for the attractions is the Ricardo Soriano and to get back Marbella central directions below. Both are close to La Alameda.

Castillo Gibralfaro

Castillo Gibralfaro is situated in the hills of behind Malaga, but is very close to the town and easy to get to. The castle joins on to the Alcazaba fortruss lower down. The Alcazaba

The Alcazaba is situated at the foot of the hills in Malaga sandwiched between the Castillo Gibralfaro and the Teatro Romano. This is one of the best attractions in Malaga and a must when visiting the city. Teatro Romano

Teatro Romano is situated on Calle Alcazabilla in front of the Alcazaba of Malaga. It's a roman theatre built in the first century. Access to this site is free but it is not advertised. Atarazanas

the Atarazanas is the main food market in Malaga. It is situated on Calle Atarazanas 10 and has to be one of the largest indoor markets on the Costa del Sol. Muelle Uno

Muelle Uno is the part of the port for smaller crafts. It is situated to the left of the main commercial port. It is another "must see"attraction and perfect for a stroll at any time of the day. The Marina has trendy shops, restaurants and bars with the Alcazaba in the background. Malaga cathedral is situated on Calle Molina Lario but the entrance is on Calle Cister in the centre of Malaga. It is a most impressive structure inside and out. Street Art

Malaga Street art is situated mainly around the Soho area of Malaga. This is a great way to spend an afternoon finding the art and exploring the bars in the triangular area of Soho. Torremolinos Bus service
