Benalmádena is made up of three main areas, each offering something different.
The coastline offers a good mix of beaches, from busier areas with full facilities to quieter spots if you move slightly away from the centre. The promenade links much of the resort, making it ideal for walking, with easy access to beach bars and restaurants along the way.
Puerto Marina is one of the main highlights of the resort, known for its distinctive design, boats, restaurants, and bars. It’s a popular area both during the day and in the evening, with plenty to see and do around the waterfront.
Benalmádena has a wide range of attractions, including the cable car from Arroyo de la Miel up to Mount Calamorro, the popular Sea Life Benalmádena aquarium, and historic sites such as Castillo de Colomares. There’s a good mix of options for families, couples, and general sightseeing.
There’s a wide choice of places to eat across the resort, from seafront restaurants and marina dining to more local options in Arroyo de la Miel and the Pueblo. Whether you’re looking for traditional Spanish dishes or international cuisine, there’s plenty of variety.
Benalmádena is well connected, with the train line running through Arroyo de la Miel linking to Torremolinos and Málaga. Buses and taxis make it easy to reach the Pueblo and nearby areas, and the resort is well placed for exploring the rest of the Costa del Sol.
During the day, the focus is on beaches, walking, and attractions, while in the evening the marina and Arroyo de la Miel become busier with restaurants, bars, and entertainment. There’s a mix of lively spots and quieter areas depending on what you’re looking for.
