Information on Fuengirola Markets

If you’re staying in Fuengirola, the local markets are part of everyday life here, not just something for tourists. The main market at the fairground between Fuengirola and Los Boliches runs on Tuesdays and Saturdays, as long as there’s no feria on, and each day has a very different feel.

Tuesdays are the most traditional. This is the proper Andalusian market day, with long rows of stalls selling clothes, shoes, leather goods, bags, household items, and plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables. It’s busy, lively, and popular with locals doing their weekly shop, especially earlier in the morning.

Saturdays are more like a giant car-boot sale. You’ll find second-hand goods, collectibles, tools, bric-a-brac, and the occasional bargain if you’re prepared to have a rummage. It’s less about fresh produce and more about browsing, and it attracts a big mix of locals, expats, and visitors.

On Sundays, the action moves to the car-boot-style market, which is smaller and more relaxed. This one is ideal if you enjoy digging through boxes for quirky finds rather than walking long rows of stalls. It’s quieter than Tuesday or Saturday and has a more laid-back, local feel.

All markets usually run from around 8:30 in the morning until about 3pm. Parking is available near the fairground but fills up quickly, so many people walk or use the train. Los Boliches and Fuengirola stations are both about a 10-minute walk, with the market sitting roughly halfway between the two.
