Established in the 1970s and extensively redeveloped in the 1990s, the Bioparc is a captivating zoological destination. While the area it occupies may be relatively small, the developers have ingeniously crafted a lush tropical forest ecosystem throughout the entire space, complete with a meandering path for visitors to explore.
At the heart of the Bioparc's uniqueness is the fact that, unlike conventional zoos, the animals here are not confined to traditional cages. Instead, the park has been thoughtfully designed to provide natural habitats for its diverse animal residents.
This makes the Bioparc an ideal place for a family outing, where both young and old can marvel at the animals in settings that mimic their native environments. During the summer months, the zoo extends its opening hours, offering enchanting nocturnal shows that are nothing short of spectacular.
For easy access, the Bioparc is conveniently located just a 10-minute walk from the bus and train station. If you're arriving by car, consider parking at Sohail Castle, which is not only cost-effective but also a smart choice for parking – directions are available below.
