The Puente Nuevo, the largest and most iconic bridge spanning Ronda's dramatic El Tajo Gorge, rises to an impressive height of 98 meters. Construction began in 1751 and took 42 years to complete, finally finishing in 1793. This enduring project is a testament to the remarkable engineering and craftsmanship of its time.
A symbol of Ronda’s architectural and historical legacy, the Puente Nuevo serves as a centerpiece of the town. Its design and location offer breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, drawing visitors from around the world.
For the best views and photo opportunities, head toward Plaza de María Auxiliadora. After crossing the bridge, take the first right onto Calle Tenorio, and follow the road to the end. From there, a pathway descends into the gorge, providing a stunning vantage point to capture the bridge in all its grandeur.

The Puente Nuevo bridge is situated on the south side of the city on Calle Arminan south of the Plaza Espana.
Santa Maria La Mayor is Situated in the Plaza Duquesa De Parcent and is the largest church in Ronda.
Plaza del Toros is situated off the Calle Virgin De La Paz close to the Paseo Blas Infante.
The church is situated in the Plaza de la Merced around a 5 minute walk from Plaza Espana.
