Christmas light switch on: All over the Costa del sol crowds gather for the annual Christmas light swith on's in all of the towns. The biggest being in Malaga and Marbella. The lights are switched on towards the end of November and the beginning of December. Then repeat there performances daily until they are switched off for the year most on the 6th January. 

Nochevieja(New years eve)Celebrated globally and the Costa del Sol is no exception. There are organized celebrations are in all the towns where at midnight the ritual of the 12 grapes starts. After every strike of the clock tower bell you eat a grape for good luck the following year. The main events are as follows: Malaga, Plaza de la Constitucion. Torremolinos, La Nogalera.

Benalmadena, Plaza de la Mezquita & Plaza del Alguacil. Fuengirola, Plaza Espana. Marbella, Plaza Iglesia de la Encarnicion. All of these events are accompanied with entertainment and music.
