Fairs & Festivals on the Costa del Sol May 2025

Sardines day la cala: This is a great event that's  held on the 1st of May every year on the sea front in La Cala de Mijas. Thousands of sardines are grilled on the beach in long lines. So line up and get your free sardines. There is a party atmosphere along the whole beach front with Flamenco dancing competitions and music. This is a great event and is growing each year. Date for 2025, 01-05-2023 and it's an all day event.

Traditionally held on the 3rd Saturday of May La Noche en Blanco in Malaga: is a nocturnal experience where you can enjoy a cultural program for everyone. It starts at 20:00 hrs and finishes around 02:00am. Many of Malaga's museums and art galleries open up from

20:00until 02:00am including the Picasso museum and the Pompidou centre in Muelle uno. They are free to enter on this night. Most of the Plaza's have music, dancing and performing arts during the evening. In 2017 this event attracted 230,000 people and is a growing event. The 2025 dates for the event  has not been announced yet so watch this space

Traditionally takes place on either the 3rd or 4th weekend of May. Feria del Marisco Benalmadena. This is a must for seafood lovers or if you want to give seafood a go. The event takes place at the Benalmadena port from 12:00 noon each day and offers a wide range of seafood over the 3 to 4  day event. . Dates for 2025 to be confirmed. Check back nearer the time.
