Feria de Pedro Romero: starts around the first week in September in Ronda and lasts for one week. The main event is a procession of horse drawn carriages through the streets of Ronda with everyone dressed in 18th century costumes followed by a bullfight at the Maestranza bullring. This takes place on the first Saturday of the fair. The event brings in crowds from around the world making it difficult to get accommodation in Ronda around this time. This is a fantastic time to be in Ronda the fair also plays folklore music, flamenco singing & dancing sports competitions and the Goyesque Ladies. 2024 Dates 3rd to the 8th of September 2024

La Feria de Mijas held around the first or second week of September and on or near to the 8th in Mijas. It starts with a procession through the streets of the old town in honour of their patron saint the Virgin de la Pena. In the plaza Virgen de la Pena there stalls, music and lots of dancing. This is the week the locals really do party. Traditional flamenco costumes are worn and the local sherry is consumed. All in all a nice time to visit Mijas. 2024 dates 3rd to the 8th September 2024

The luna Mora festival in Guaro. It starts on the morning and finished late in the evening. The festival has a moorish muslim theme to it with music dating back over 500 years played through the streets. There is a craft market that spreads out from the village centre. The stall holders dress in costumes of that period that sell food and local crafts. There are belly dancers, street performers, music concerts and the real star of the show. Candles thousands apon thousands of candles light up the whole village. They are everywhere down the streets on walls in the plaza's in lines and patterns of every discription. Guaro has turned candles into an art form. If you want a relaxed evening and almost step into the past together with the candles then this is an event not to be missed. 2024 dates 6th to the 7th September 2024

Arabian Souk, around the first and second weekend of September in Benalmadena Pueblo.

The main market is situated in the Plaza de las Tres Culturas, Plaza de España, Calle Real and in the ‘Jardines del Muro’.There’s lots of fun entertainment on the event’s programme too: Street Parades, performers, belly dancers, Workshops (archery, pottery, calligraphy), live music and traditional games

This is a unique opportunity to take a trip back in time and let your senses absorb the aromas of the exotic food while experiencing the delights of Arabic culture. From 11:00 am to 1 am. 2024 dates to be confirmed

La Feria de San Miguel festival starts towards the end of September around the feast day of St. Michael the Archangel on 29th September in Torremolinos. Hundreds of brightly decorated carts pulled by horses or oxen and pilgrims in typical dress meet in Avenida de Los Manantiales at 10am on the Sunday morning.During the procession local music and dance is performed while drinking sherry. The procession ends at the La Ermita de San Miguel’ in Los Pinares de los Manantiales. The main festival then starts on the following Wednesday. Most of the activities are held in the Plaza Nogalera and Plaza Costa del Sol in the centre of town. In the evening the festival moves on to the main fair ground Recinto Ferial where there are normal fairground attractions together with music and dancing till 5:00am 2023 dates 27-09-2024 to 01-10-2024
