Information on the church

The Church of the Immaculate Conception (Iglesia de la Inmaculada Concepción) is a Roman Catholic church located in the town of Mijas on the Costa del Sol in southern Spain. It is a modern building, constructed in the 1970s, and is known for its distinctive architecture and white stone exterior. The church is located in the center of Mijas, near the Bullring and other important landmarks. It is a popular place of worship for both locals and tourists, and is known for its peaceful atmosphere and beautiful interior. Visitors to the Church of the Immaculate Conception can take in the sights and sounds of this beautiful religious site and learn more about the Catholic faith. The gardens around the church are stunning and the main tower is all that remains of the moorish mosque that once stood on the site. If you are visiting Mijas then this is a must for the views alone.
